Hhhmm that's risky! Students are only allowed to work 20 hours per week during term time. You could be in a lot of trouble if caught. Your student visa could be revoked, and you would be asked to leave the country or even worse, you could be banned from entering UK again in the future.

The Home Office sometimes conducts surprise checks on schools and schools are now required to report students that doesn't comply with immigration rules.

Here's a following extract that has been taken from the Border and Immigration Agency website:

"As an education provider, you should aim to set out your institution’s procedures for Student Registration, Student Non-Arrival and Student Non-Attendance in detail, with particular mention of the processes involved when dealing with student non-compliance of Immigration Rules e.g. the circumstances under which you would pass a student’s details to the Home Office / Borders and Immigration Agency.

The Borders and Immigration Agency is keen to receive information about all cases of overseas students (not those from EU countries) who have either accepted a place at your establishment but have never attended, or who have dropped out of a course of study for no apparent reason.!"

Schools who are in breach of the immigration rules will be removed from the Register so chances are you could be reported. I'm not trying to scare you but you should be fully aware of the risks and know the consequences.

You have to go back to school.

I am sorry but I think, we need to be very careful in all situations. Be more cautious.

    Worse cases:
You can go to jail if they will find out.
You can be banned to enter the UK again or any countries.
The school will be banned too

Plus, when you have applied for Student Visa, you have complied all the requirements, read the notes & rules & regulations, you signed documents so they are all BINDING! these can be used against you...

also, to think... it is basically cheating the system (and maybe lusot ka ngayon pero bukas hindi)

and maybe that is also one of the reasons why the Immigration now is very strict because of these type of cases...

Please protect yourself, your name & other Immigrants especially who went thru a lot of sacrifices, paid lots of money just to get in this country to live an honest life...

Think also about your parents or your loved ones... You do not want to be deported just because...

Hi Sophie, I myself have applied for a student visa, and study thoroughly the terms and conditions a student visa entails. As we all know, UK might be, correct me if I am wrong, the most stringent country in the world when it comes to visa granting. You are one lucky person yourself to be granted one. Aside from the checking, they will also check the University or College whether you come to your classes regularly. The report which the university would release for the Immigration/home office would be the considering factor whether you will be granted another visa, should you apply one, in the future. So, if I were you, do not jeopardise your stay. If it is just earlier, you can still straighten it out. If it's too late, consult an immigration lawyer, they might help you with your situation. To top it all, "FOLLOW THE RULES!" Hope it helps

Whether you work fulltime or part time, you still violates the immigration rules. Your employer will not help you if immigration will find out you're not at school anymore. If you still want to stay legally, consult a solicitor specialized in immig. b4 it's too late.

if you do not attend uni or college then soon they will have to report you to the HO, if they do not, they can lose their license, also you face a ban from ever coming to the uk again, your employer could be fined for employing you for more than 20hrs a week, also customs and immigration officers will become one department soon, so expect a lot more raids on employers..

it seems you're living up to what the agency promised you?? its nice to see your pay slip thinking you can at last pay your debts at home, but please be responsible enough to do your duty as a student too.

    They're all damn right!

I had a chinese friend who never allowed to enter in the UK because she used her student visa just to work. When she arrived at the London airport she was held in immigration for few hours and sent back to China!

    So sort yourself out asap!!
Not an expert, I only try to help.
