    Hello coyoteugly,

    -No fixed amount is given however, it emplies that you have to show that both of you will not recourse to public funds, and to show this you need to show the following:
    1) Photos of your house, documents that shows that you can provide good accomodation. Good means that there is an existing house to stay which house is not supported by government funds;

    2) SAvings Account- this is the strong evidence to show that within the stay of your husband, even he could not find work, you have savings to support him;

    3) You have stable job to show that you are having a good income enough to support to both of you.

    4) Credit cards, credit accounts that shows you are a good payer will help but not really essential.

    5) Other requirements you just supply the requirements and as many as possible.

    You said that you are a naturalized British. If you acquire British Citizenship by previous marriage, and then had undergone Divorce, that can really brought a doughts to the mind of the embassy. Now, You should convince by strong evidence that you had a divorce in good faith.-meaning, you did not come to UK by marriage and had a skillful plan to devorce him after you got the citizenship.

    If the above was not the case, then you just show monetary evidence.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks for all your reply, guys, i will take all your advice as our pointers. It would be of great help if someone who has applied just the start of this year who can give me pointers.

    I am single when I met my husband (Italy), there was no issue of divorce nothing like that.

    The ECO stated on his decision of refusal was that he was not satisfied that I could maintain and accomodate my husband without recourse to public funds.

    How much money I need to show in my bank statement? Will Philippine bank accounts be considered? How much evidence of job offer as stated in the new settlement visa application form, how could i find a job offer for him without him being here?
