Some might remember me from my last post about my wife disappearing after we married in the Philippines in April 2008.
We did make contact again after around 2 months, she was scared to tell me she has spent the money I had left with her for the visa interview and travel cost, on an internet scam, but contacted me on my birthday in June.
She is now having the medical before the visa interview.
I am worried about my income now, when she disappeared I was very upset in not knowing what had happened, and my employer gave me the option on having an early retirement (I am 64)
Because I took retirement 6 months before I will be 65 I am receiving Pension Credit until I can receive my state pension, will this affect my being able to support her?
    My living conditions are:
I am in a nice Housing Association flat, that is as secure as it can be, and I have had a letter from the Housing Ass to go with our application that the one bedroom flat is suitable for both me and my wife to live in.
I also receive £60.00 per week from my Occupational pension
And £45.00 per week from Disability Living Allowance
    I have savings of £12,000
    Hoping somone can help,
    Mick.
If she is applying for a UK (spousal) settlement visa, as Mavid has said, she doesen't need a medical and she will not need to have an interview unless the ECO (Entry Clearance Officer) who deals with her application decides that he has insufficient information to make a decision about her visa application without speaking to her personally.

Are you really sure that she has submitted, or intends to submit an application this time? If she has, or when she tells you she has, she should be able to give you the Application Reference Number, so you can track the application online.

    Iain.

Surely there are still some trust issues to be sorted out?

What proof do you have that she will def come over?

You're right Ma'am Juliet, best Mick will keep in touch with the forum because people here really helps a lot.

About Mick's wife, I think she don't have a word of honor because you can see she tell lies and she spent the money to other things though it's intended for her visa fee and the worst thing was she didn't ask her hubby's permission to spend it.
Life can be happier & less stressful if we remember one simple thought..We can't have all that we desire, but prayers will give us all that we deserve.God bless everyone!

They say love is blind which is true but it can cost you a lot of money also if people decide to leave their common sense at home..

I hope she has changed and you make a go of it but you have not really said anything to convincing to prove otherwise...

    Married or not tread carefully
