The online dating concept is new one for me. I would like to know a good online dating site that is reasonable. I do not have a lot of money to spend now. I am a newbie, don’t have that much information .Can you direct me to a low cost dating site?

I have used FH, but you should first read some stuff around before, like for instance my own posting under the title "you have been ripped off". To make a long story short, if a girl gives you tales like "my sister wants to sell the family computer and if she does we can't communicate" or "I need 20.000 pesos to apply for a good job in the UK" or "our house just burnt down, we have lost everything", just run away........ well if you are not too naive you'll find out by yourself what's good and what's rotten..... also beware of those who call you "Sweetheart" or "Honey" after two or three messages and who speak of love and marriage even before they have basic info about you.

I met my wifey on a yahoo chat room...do you know I "think" it was actually the Taiwan chat room! But there is a few Philippines chat rooms...there's even one called Filipino overseas workers (last time I looked anyway!)

We would give another vote to Yahoo. Not a dating site as such, and its free. Create a profile describing yourself and maybe the sort of person you are looking for and then explore the chat rooms.

And why not the good old ads inserted in magazines? A few years ago I tried my luck here in Paris in an English ads magazine, FUSAC (France-USA contact) and met, among others, two Filipinas. Well, nothing happened with them but at least I had my first real contact with the Philippines!!

I met my girl while using Skype (doesn't get much cheaper), and as those in the forum know, I had a good dose of the jitters up front. But it doesn't matter which way you go, you have to watch your step. The good folks here will see you right. So far I haven't looked back (but still aware that there may be dragons ahead). Give it a try.

there is a totally free dating website where you can IM filipinas, it's pretty good. I won't mention the name in case of infringing board rules. Just google for free sites and it should come up.
