Hi everyone,

My daughter was born in the philippines Sept 2005 , to a filipina mother & british father, so she cannot automatically acquired british citizen. "British Father whos Child was born after July 2006 can be automatically pass their british citizenship to their children."

We're here now in UK, and planning to apply her a british passport, is that ok even we haven't applied her yet for british citizenship? or do we need to apply her for brit citizenship first before applying her for her british passport?

Anyone here have the same situation or encounter this before or any advice regarding this matter please post here, as its kindly appreciated
