Guys & Girls...

The British Embassy are not naive.
Just because someone has booked a reception, paid a deposit for a ring etc
etc does NOT mean that there will be an actual wedding.

... to me, it's a bit like calling up and reserving a table at a restaurant, there's
no guarantee that you'll turn up & use it.

The Embassy also know that due to the current laws in the UK, no "real"
arrangements can be made ...... so they are totally reliant on your submitted
documentation ...... pay slips, housing etc etc ... so make this as perfect as
possible.

.... saying that, when the future Mrs Bluebird went & submitted at VFS, she
did call me & say.. "They are asking when are we getting married"... I was
tempted to reply, "How long is a piece of string" ..... but told her to say "As
soon as practically possible after arriving in the UK".

But, hell, what do I know ..... I'm still waiting
