Final scan?

Now, at 39 weeks, Ruby had her last ultrasound scan today. The estimated weight of the baby is 9lbs 2ozs! Wow, that's fairly big for a filipina ... and nothing to do with me - my last born was 5lbs 12ozs!

I'm pleased that the doctor said that Ruby will be given the chance to have a natural birth before resorting to CS.

Does this beat waiting for a visa?

Pia was 47kg when we married and is now 66kg. Hehe! Don't tell her I told you. Yesterday, my mother came to stay a few days. It's the first time she has seen Pia since Middle of January. She said, "wow look at your face, it's doubled in size".

i'll be 33 weeks pregnant on sunday. we will both give birth in April, though she's more than a week earlier than me... good luck to both of us

Wow 9lbs baby and planning for a normal delivery...ooh dear wish her all the best and she will need all the strength!

My 2nd baby was 10.13lbs and had an emergency CS bec I can't push him out...Im thinking of having a CS again on my 3rd baby on May bec I was informed it's above normal size again.....oh my.

All the best to you both Peter. We are looking fwd to seeing the baby pics. Pia had her scan 1 week ago at about 33 weeks and was told the baby is right at the upper end of the size range for that stage. Thus, about 5lbs. So, at an approx. growth rate of 0.5 lbs per week and 7 weeks to go, hmmn!

Ruby was 48kgs when we first met, but is rather heavier at the moment - she vows to diet and return to her former slimness after Sky arrives. Having said that, she still looks very good to me!
