I have to say, I AGREE with the sentiments expressed by Bluebirdjones. I don't particularly like the expression either - although perhaps not quite so much as I dislike hearing men referring to their wives as "the wife" ... as though they were some sort of *commodity. Talking of *which, it makes my teeth grind equally when people call presents 'prezzies"! Why must the British (Scots included) demean the use of their native tongue?

ermm... hehe.. i dont like the term Hubby either... lol, i just dont know why hehe...
but i am so ever proud when my Husband introduce me to his friends as his wife... like: This is my wife, Zobel..." same as "This is my husband, Jay..."
i think it depends on people really...
we all have terms of endearment... YOUR RULES, YOUR STYLE...
Wow I can`t believe how stressed some people are getting about this, it`s very funny!
Me, I love to hear my wife call me anything, cos the special thing for me is that now I can see her lips saying it instead of just hearing the words down a phone line or seeing them on a computer screen.
Still, if everybody had the same opinion it`d be a very boring world....
