I remembered when I passed my driving test, I have to go to work that night, for the first time I have to drive alone and it was a bit scary, excited and nervous I even forgot to turn on my headlights and was driving for 2 minutes without lights..

Anyway, Congratulations Louella now you have freedom, you can just hop in to your car anytime you had a fight with Ian

The good thing for me is that when we go to the pub as we usually do on a Friday night, she can drive, which means I can have another couple of pints.

that's a very common and popular reasons from husband...... 'wife must learn to drive so husband can drink with mates in the pub and drive husband back home'

That was one of my reasons.. Though the amount of money I've spent on driving lessons and running a second car would have easily covered the cost of taxis (or even stretch limos...) on the times I go drinking with my mates

Your not kidding. We had a bit of a tot up and we came to the conclusion that a conservative estimate for the whole thing, theory test and DVD's for the theory test, 4 test fees and sooooooo many lessons, all in all would probably come to between £4500 and £5000.

That's not including the cost of the damage to my car, the fence and a godfather post, when she miscalculated by about a yard whilst trying to put the car on the front driveway this week. I was a bit worried she might fail again because she been starting to get a bit cocky with her driving recently, hence the accident.
