The real number would indeed mention a 0207 number as its south kensington which is sw7 2 ea for this hotels location.

All addresses particuarly in London use Post codes so nearly always it will be mentioned.

If you did have someone from the location speak to you say someone you know lives in london and they will drop off the cv there for you.
Somehow i don't they would want that.
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops

bit interesting this one andy, as far as i can tell the hotel does exist, but if you look at the web site there is no contact number on the site, so either a scammer has set up this fake web site, which i doubt looking at it, or the scammers have found a hotel web site that doesn't have contact numbers, so you can only phone them only by the 07 number in the email sneaky

I checked on the uinternet. It may not be a scam.

The yelow pages, at yell.com show the hotela as:-

    8-10, Queensberry Place,
    London,
    SW7 2EA

    Tel: 0845 456 6399

so if anyone is interested it may be worth a call to check out the offer direct with the hotel.

The hotel may be real, but this is a scam. Do a google for "Job Opening in Gallery Hotel London". Each Google search result has a different email address.

DON'T call that 070 number, and you would probably be wasting your time calling the hotel direct on the 0845 number.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, most organisations, whether a hotel or a large company will NOT use a free email address provided by Yahoo or Hotmail, or if they do, they would use an email address thats a bit more memorable than the one quoted.

    Further to above.

Even though I am in Spain, I called the 0845 number.

It is a legitimate reservations agency. It is not an employment agency.

It is very strange that I have been unable to get a number for the hotel itself but I guess the last word is that this is a scam.

Sorry if I contributed to the mistery.

I find that I must agree with the rest of the members that posted here.

It is most definitively a scam, not a very subtle one, but it is basically directed to people desperate to gain employment abroad.

Yes it is a typical "fee for help" 419 nigerian jobby.

If posting this link makes, at least, 1 person aware enough not to respond to such mails, then it will have been worth doing it.

Yes sir the Hotel does exist and know of it, just near some clients of ours.

It does have a phone number I belive and like Rob says unlikely they would advertise in this way surely even though a third party.

Im sure the scammer just use google and like you say get one which is a bit vague on details.

I dont visit london so often now on business but if people need assitance checking out places like this im sure I can try and help.

The hotel web site that I think you are refering to is hosted by CentralR.com. They are a booking agency, and therefore don't publish phone numbers as they don't want you contacting the hotel directly.

yes your right, so if the poster clicked on the link to the web site, they don't know the telephone number of the hotel as its not displayed by the agency, the only number they have is the 07 number in the email

    still sneaky ..

The 070 prefix is a free internet based number that will give you free voice box recorded messages and it is VERY common now for scammers to set up false web sites using origional material from the real Hotel/Bank etc

these scams are called 419 and if you have time and interest google it as there is a great site that takes on the scammers and gets their false websites and bank accounts closed down
