How Long Do I Have To Wait to become a repected memeber of this forum ?
to have the sufficient privileges to be able to access the rest of this site ?..

As I seem to get this old classic :- irobot, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this ...blah blah blah...

A part from being slightly annoying, it would be nice to be able to see and try the other features here like attachments to postings,the flashchat feature,calendar ect....phil..

NEWBIE (RESTRICTED ACCESS)
MEMBER
RESPECTED MEMBER

The reason all newbies have these restrictions is because of the selfish actions of a few people. Just keep posting iRobot, you will get Respected Member Status soon.

Moderator Status is earned I don't know how... I think you should prove yourself that you are worthy to be one(?)
As far as I know, no Lady-Moderators yet (except for Ping, wife of Win2Win).

Mods are appointed only by Keith, not earned. We did have a female mod (not sure what became of her) and Ping is only a member.

lol yeah only admin know when he gonna put it respected,on my experience 90 post when i get to be respected while my hubby i notice he is only 80 post when he get respected member ( i tease him that time),but i notice lately cause i was trying to send to other member that i am trying to pm her but she still dont have access ,she is on 175 post already but she still a member,dont ask me why ?

it's the reputation power... if someone likes your posts or agreed on something then he/she can add your reputation power... but this has limits to prevent from abusing such power

Ah, I see, Zobel. Thanks for pointing this out. In analysing the situation, I guess most of my posts have consisted either of "moans and groans" (at the outset, anyway!) about what I (as a retired person) perceived to be the 'extortionate' costs of bringing my loved one to the UK, appeals for advice on how best to achieve this objective and congratulating others on their success. Perhaps not the most stimulating of topics. Possibly if I'd raised some current affairs issue or other - of interest for debate - then I might find myself higher up the 'pecking order'!
