When you list it all like that, any newbies who have only just got involved with a Filipina and are still at the internet chatting stage for instance, might well be put off. But I still think it's a case of he who dares wins.... in the end

£60 ??? It's only £20 in our region and if you shop around, you can usually get it at £18 or £19 if you block book 10 or more lessons.

    Iain.

£60 per hour sounds very high for a normal driving lesson.

Though depending on the area it could be £60 for a 2 hour lesson which I know some instructors recommend nowadays.

applications made by post or £595 for applications made in

it was £22 per hour for my driving lesson then less £1 per hour if block booking.

Dont go cheaper than £20 though or private instructor because some people said sometimes they tell you to do more lessons even though you dont need it.

I used go-red.co.uk and I passed my driving test for the first time.

    Hiya!

It is indeed alot of money to get your love ones here in UK and I dont think its fair to the husbands to shoulder all the expense, the ladies should take the initiative to get a job once they are here in UK and share the responsibilities. Doesnt have to be 50/50 but at least help your husbands in paying all those fees. Specially now that we have 3 little children, I insist on paying for most of the things/shopping needed by our children since I get the child benefits and work part time.. only my opinion anyway.

Btw...citizenship/oath taking are free for group ceremonies however if you want a private one they charge £60.

In my point of view as well. Not just helping your husband financially ( could be partly) its builds up your confidence, gain more friends for socialization.

    of course!!!
as with me & my husband, we have joint account... all our salaries are in 1 bank and all outgoings are taken from the same account...

not only it builds confidence but build trust as well...

    P.S.
The reason I have enumerated them coz hehe, i do all our accounting jobs

Plus it helps to see the figures properly, helps us to save more for the future...

And yes, thank you for letting us know that Oath taking is free whoohooo...

It actually costs £80, but it is included when you apply for citizenship (currently £575 for the application fee and £80 for the group ceremony, making £655 in total).

If they refuse you citizenship or you withdraw your application they actually refund you the £80 (they keep though the £575....).

You are right Darren...just remembered the £60 was an additional charge if you can not make it on those group ceremony dates available bec I reckon applicants are given 2months to have their citizenship ceremony once they received the invitation letter otherwise their application will be invalid.

    Another fee

    Once you have the baby:

    1. Passport fee PHIL £ 54 ( includes the report of birth fee)
    2. British passport £40 something
