    hehehehehe

I bet he is not only one who has panicked, I was in Shanghai on business when Ligaya's waters broke two weeks early!! I left my overnight stuff at the hotel, my PDA at the supplier I was visiting, had a mad one hour taxi drive (Pudong area is busy at the best of times) pleaded with Dragonair to bump me on the earlier flight, managed to leave my overcoat in departures and finally got to to the hospital six hours after the call. Ligaya was in the middle of a 9 hour labour so I made it.
Live your life for a reason and don't worry be happy

if you don't know where you are going then any road will do!!

    Smile

MP3 player - then you can play Chris Rea's 'Road to Hell' during labour.

Bog roll! There never is any!

Bleeper! To cut out all the obscenities you WILL direct at your husband during the critical hour!

Plenty of pressies for the nurses and midwives - and plenty of slander for the consultants!!!

My first was born in the JR in Oxford - our midwife/nurse, Donna was her name - did a 100% job - she was WONDERFUL!!!!

The day after the birth she came into our suite crying her eyes out because the consultant had 'dressed her down' for her performance (He was observing a la OFSTED.)

I made an appointment with him and asked why he had done this - he replied that it was none of my business. I ultimately made an appointment with the Head of the John Radcliffe and informed him of my experiences - only to be told that - of course - he could not discuss individual cases with me. I therefore then went to the Government Health Ombudsman - I eventually received a written apology for the way the consultant had spoken to me!

NOTHING was said about an apology to Donna!!!

Who'd be a nurse when there are such PRATTS!!! as ********* ****** (I would LOVE to say his name but, of course, I can't) in charge!!!????

God bless nurses and b******s to all consultants who think they are above their station!!!!

Should this have been a rant?

    I think it should - I apologise!

    Al.
Pressed rat and warthog closed down their shop!

Don't make promises when you are in JOY. Don't reply when you are SAD.
Don't take decisions when you are ANGRY. Think twice, Act wise. BE happy.
