I agree the roads can be pretty hazardous ... what with all the taxicabs, jeepneys, motor cycles (even pedal powered bikes) seemingly coming at you from all directions ... best take the bus - first making sure it's air-conditioned (especially on long journeys!); it's definitely the least expensive way of getting around.
