    saying hi as newcomer

    hello- my name is Margarita- 49 years old. i have been living in the US since 1971. I visited Scotland in 1976- Aberdeen and it was an experience. I enjoyed my visit to the UK and hopefully will visit soon. I am a registered nurse(what else, as a Filipino?) and i work in Los Angeles, CA

    Thank you to the members who welcomed me. As I stated in my introduction,I visited Aberdeen in 1976. The UK was a lot different then as I remember it- McDonald's and other fast food chains did not establish themselves yet. There were hardly any FIlipinos living in the UK at that time. I remember the Aberdonians being so fascinated with me. THere I was- native looking Filipina, travelling with American teenagers and speaking with an American accent. I was asked out on dates by a lot of guys. HA HA!! The days of my youth. Anyway, I will try to stay posted. Thank you
