I have sung in concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Appeared on regional and national TV and Radio.
I know Dec's family (as in Ant and Dec) and sang for his brother's ordination to the priesthood.
As a teenager I played Sunday afternoon football with Chris Waddle.
Went pub crawling in Newcastle with Gazza and mutual friends from Liverpool, in the eighties (think he was with Spurs at the time).
    JOHN and VANESSA

I thought i would start the thread for different reasons with who we have met that is famous being part of that but also that the Filipinos on here to share somethings also. Even if you think its not that important it could well be very interesting to the members on here.

Maybe you have a simple dream that you want to reach that you can share about.

It could be places that you have always wanted to visit.

One of the countries i always wanted to go to and thought was only a dream came true about 5 years ago when i went to Africa. I got to spend a couple of weeks in Burkina Faso & Ghana and it was everything i dreamed of and more. In a way it was like many in the Philippines who struggle from day to day but yet always smiling.

    you are so right John,
I always find great interest in the goings on in the farm at Ligaya's place. I wanted to join the men doing "TANGLE" clever way of diverting the main river for irrigation, drive the KULIG LIG or hand tractor and pump the water with the big hand pump. I find her neighbours interesting and the kids great fun... even when they catch this big flying beetle and then use it as a toy by tying fishing wire round the beetles body but leaving the wings free to wizz around.

I also get amazed when we are hiking one time on Lamma island just off Hong Kong and Ligaya starts picking wierd fruits, berries and flowers and explains each one to me. I might have a couple of degrees but her "knowledge" is fascinating to me and her "common sense" far outweighs mine. I think this a trait of all our asawas.. great common sense and an ability to pick up just about anything you put in front of them

Come on ladies don't put yourselfs down.. you're amazing

    Very interesting, thanks for sharing!!

I believe every member on here has some interesting things that has happened to them or have a dream of what they would like to do or places they would like to go?

So if you are normally shy then this is the time to come out of your shell.

    Decorated by the Queen

Escorted the Queen Mother to RACE MEETINGS several times, very gracious lady

Survived the tsunami (jogging on beach 30 minutes before it hit Bali)

Used to play rugby against Prince Andrew (dirty player)

Donated bone marrow in 2001, recipient is in Canada and is still healthy.

I was actually up the hill a couple of hundred yards in Starbucks. Bali was not too crazy comopared to Aceh and other areas but still a very unnerving experience. Later that day I spoke to some divers who were in the ocean at the time and ended up nearly a mile from their dive boat but all okay.

Maybe you appeared on a tv show, played a certain sport for your country/county/region, maybe you got an award you are proud of or it can just be something quirky?

Hi Irobot it was quite a status symbol to say Sid Vicious went to our school.
I thought they were a great band...Just a pity his life turned out, the way it did.

so there is at least one pinoy somewhere in the phils listening to ' Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want'
