My award for most humorous pinoy is the taxi driver who picked me up from my hotel in Makati a few days ago,funnier than dolphy,joey de Leon,and Mr Bean rolled into one Asked him to take me to NAIA1 and also asked for "Metro Nong"surprisingly for a Manila taxi the meter wasnt workingI asked the fare,he said 100,thats cool,arrived at the departures,went to give him 150 pesos and he said with a deadpan face "Not pesos,Dollars"Needless to say I didnt watch him pick the 100 pesos from the tarmac

warning,always ask them to plug the meter on,once you sit already,dont tolerate that kind of scam,and if they didnt...get this plate # because that is against the law..they should use the meter not the idea of "hehe, he is foreigner tiba tiba ako"(he think of cheating)

yes most of the taxi drivers in Makati are a joke, I spent 7 months there last year, they were my biggest pain... always trying it on every day with the meter thing.... "it's not working sir"...or trying to hide the meter with a cloth, I just said stop and I got out every time.... ask for a price and they just trebled the first number that came into their head....I just walked away every time.

The biggest annoyance was when it was raining they wouldn't take you anywhere unless you agreed to a stupid price... but then when it was warm and at the weekend especially Sunday, they would beep their horn asking if they can take you anywhere.... I felt like shouting " yes what about when it was raining last night... go F... yourself !!"

The other thing they used to say was " I need a big tip Sir cos of the traffic"... my reply was " hey this is Manila, if you don't like traffic work somewhere else"... it never did go down very well

MANILA, Philippines - A taxi driver thought he got some luck after his passenger "agreed" to pay a pre-arranged fare amounting to P700 for a trip from the airport to Quezon City - until he realized who his passenger was.

Radio dzBB reported that the cab driver - whose identity was withheld - instead lost his license and had his taxi unit impounded after the man whom he contracted for the exorbitant fare was Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Alberto Suansing.

Suansing said the taxi driver had charged him P700 from the airport to Quezon City, instead of using the taximeter. He said the driver had no idea who his passenger was, until he was told to enter the LTO compound in Quezon City.

When the driver finally found out who his passenger was, Suansing had his driver's license canceled and his taxi unit impounded.

Suansing said he will be conducting more surprise inspections in the coming weeks especially with the Christmas shopping season about to peak soon. - GMANews.TV
