Finally Single and Fiance Visa Granted

After 4 years...my Annulment is finally granted.
It has take a very long time but I am very glad that chapter is over now.

AND of course I am so happy to say that I went to pick up my Fiance Visa today. I submitted my application March 9, 2009 and on my visa it says it's been valid since April 8, 2009 so took them 4 weeks & 2 days to decide on it.
But all in all including waiting for the texts..5 weeks & 3 days.

I've been waiting for the text from VFS since Tuesday because it said on the tracking that it's ready to be picked-up but until today I haven't received one so I took the initiative to go the VFS and i'm glad I did.

Here is a list of the documents we submitted.

    - COVER LETTER from me on top of everything -
(Tried to think of every possible question that might arise and answered it there)

    SPONSOR'S DOCUMENTS

    1. Signed Copy of Sponsor's Passport Personal Detail Page & Stamped Pages
    2. Proof of Adequate Accomodation
    - Letter from Landlord
    - Rent Book
    - Tenancy Agreement
    - Picture of Rooms
    3. Proof of Financial Capability (Fiance is Self-Employed Window Cleaner)
    - Six Months latest Bank Statements ( only had 2,000 savings)
    - Letters from Customers showing amount they pay with signatures & contact numbers
    - Monthly Budget Statement showing monthly income after tax, expenditure details
    and residual income
    4. Letter of Support from Sponsor
    5. Evidence that Sponsor & Applicant remained in contact
    - chat & emails

    APPLICANT'S DOCUMENTS

    1. NSO Birth Certificate
    2. Business Documents
    3. Bank Certificates
    4. Evidence of Previous Travel to the UK

    SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

    1. Email from the Birmingham Registry Office ( Stating that applicant needs to
be in England for 7 clear days before making the notice of marriage)
    2. Letter from Reverend from a Methodist Church for Provisionary Booking.
    3. Letter of Support from Sponsor's Mother (stating she will be ready to help
in case we need any kind of assistance so no recourse to public funds)
    4. Cards & Letters
    5. Collage pictures of sponsor & applicant (2003 - 2008)

    I hope this can help.

For those that asked me if i already applied and told them I haven't...I hope you can understand why I didn't tell you. I just didn't want added pressure..sometimes it's more stressful if loads of people ask you if u already have your visa.

Thank you for everyone who helped me along the way...thank you to my dear friends Brenda and Judy for all the support. Thank you to my fiance who showed a lot of patience all these years.

    Thank you very much FORUM.

Congratulations! That inspired me since there's a possibility that visa can be approved earlier than 3 months.... nice! Good luck to you!
