To all filipinas - What's the first culture shock you had when you got here

same experience in here, we are also looking for backgrounds where there is people..

as for the culture shock, for me I think Ive got loads of it,
- the First Name Basis
- the petrol station(filling ur petrol on ur own)
- CCTV cameras everywhere
- no more security guards
- packing ur own grocery stuffs
-old person still can drive
and a lot more..

whehehehehe very true... si Tatang nag da-drive pa lol...

First name basis is terrible sis, it does bother me alot, until now

And also packing my own grocery stuffs

And a post man being around everyday

I find it hard also at first! 1st name basis is really terrible lol... At first It was like: "Hmmm.. how disrespectful! lol"

More funny was... I used to end my sentence with "PO" lol...

the house r all the same style.i have to look well where i am coz i will going to get lost if i dont look at it.

hehhehee...

First time I ever went to Pinas the armed guards in McDonalds surprised me Who on earth wants to steal a Big Mac

My husband said he feels more unsecure in the PI seeing armed-men hehehe...dangerous lol! But he said it was so cooool lol...

Another tv program hosted by Mayleen Klass and a Korean Guy (forgot the name)it was a contest where girls has to show what part of their body they hate. All of them were stripped naked (that means without any make up on and no clothes on). I think that program was abt searching for a natural beauty.

Another tv program was the Trinny & Susannah. Participants also get naked on cam. They never get conscious getting naked infront of the cam. They are never bothered how their bodies look like. Even the two hosts did it for the sake of the viewers....I think that program was abt not to be ashamed of your body bec everyone is beautiful in their own way. One should be proud of it, hence show them off.....

Oh so true!!! Just shocking!


But my husband said, it's a bit similar in the PI, more worse though... coz during Lunch Primetime, they are showing Gameshows like wowowee & eat bulaga dancers in skimpy skirts, strapless top, bellybotton showing, pants showing etc and erotoc dancings... But here in the UK, you cant air those type of shows during daytime as they are considered as adult shows, quite sexual to be honest...
