    I AGREE, TOTALLY!

I agree with you Sophie the most shocking for me so far are the tv programs about sex. The other night one program caught my attention that was "The worst Embarrasing bodies" i was surprised a woman discussed what she considers as her worst body part is having a very large v****a. I thought she will just talk abt it but she laid down on the table and the camera was on infront of her private part. Gosh! that is very strange....: i cannot even look at it . she was interviewed abt it.
THAT WAS REALLY FUNNY AND GROSS??? WHY DID I MISS THAT THE OTHER NIGHT I GUESS THAT WAS WORST FROM THE ONE'S I SAW FEW WEEKS AGO ABOUT "SEX EDUCATION VS PORN", AND THERE WERE ORDINARY MEN AND WOMEN NAKED THERE SHOWING THEIR PRIVATES AS PART OF THE ILLUSTRATION I THINK IT SHOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ORDINARY PRIVATE VS PORN PRIVATE

I used to call my father in law as DAD.. with regards to first name basis, they used to call here other people outside their family circle on their first name basis, even ur boss( in the Phils. we're used in calling them SIR?MAM), even the person older to u.

sometimes I still find it strange when I heard a wee girl calling an old man on his first name..maybe it's just me..

Another tv program hosted by Mayleen Klass and a Korean Guy (forgot the name)it was a contest where girls has to show what part of their body they hate. All of them were stripped naked (that means without any make up on and no clothes on). I think that program was abt searching for a natural beauty.

Another tv program was the Trinny & Susannah. Participants also get naked on cam. They never get conscious getting naked infront of the cam. They are never bothered how their bodies look like. Even the two hosts did it for the sake of the viewers....I think that program was abt not to be ashamed of your body bec everyone is beautiful in their own way. One should be proud of it, hence show them off.....

Hi Sophie, i will notify you once it's on ...

they caught my attention as we filipinos don't have those kind of tv programs back home.

Artista lang ang nag show off ng body sa camera....dito kahit sino.....irregardless of mga bilbil....

    Oh so true!!! Just shocking!

But my husband said, it's a bit similar in the PI, more worse though... coz during Lunch Primetime, they are showing Gameshows like wowowee & eat bulaga dancers in skimpy skirts, strapless top, bellybotton showing, pants showing etc and erotoc dancings... But here in the UK, you cant air those type of shows during daytime as they are considered as adult shows, quite sexual to be honest...

i find the lunchtime tv shows here in the UK more decent bec tv hosts wear decent clothes and guests as well unless a guest is promoting a particular movie hence he/she wears a sexy attire unlike on Phils tvs girls are doing a dance that is considered erotic, wearing those sexy clothes during primetime shows.

I can't call the elderly or in-laws by their first names, we're used to address them with po but here there is no po so just address them using the uncle, auntie, dad, mom. In my opinion.

I can call my boss with his/her first name bec when i was still in the Phils we can call our bosses by first name. I guess it depends if the person accepts it and/or if you're working in a company where it is considered a norm.

Thats why we are finding it so hard to speak to an older person because u feel to ur self that ur disrespecting them

Espcially my hubby's brother i want to call him Kuya
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.

culture shock i think its my colleagues at work who got the shock when we report to work on our first day here in lovely UK. They think we are thick, but when we start talking to them and asking questions, they can't believe that we can speak their language. We may not good in constracting perfect english but we are not thick

probably the culture shock for me is meeting my bf's ex-wife and have a chat with her etc....Its a bit akward but there you go...culture shock

It was the month of August when I first come in this country. My husband and I were driving near the coast and he said to me 'what a lovely evening'. I thought I heard him wrong but nope... it was 8 at night and the sun was still up
I really found it weird bcoz in the Philippines we can see the sun shining so bright at 6-7 in the morning and down at 6-7 in the evening.
Winter time it gets dark early too and lights up late so I really find it weird at first..
