    Hi from East London

Its a lazy Sunday morning, so with a mug of coffee and a bacon sandwich I thought I'd say a big "Hello" to all you guys, I'm Max. i've been reading the posts on your forum and thought it would be a good idea to join. My wife and I both live and work in East London, we've been married for 5 years and she is originally from Manilla.

Alas, I am a Newcastle supporter! Don't ask why as I'm a born and bred Londoner. I guess I just wanted to be different?

Only just found this forum last nite, so wife suggested a good idea to join.

Just wanted to say that we went to Philippines on holiday last year, it was my first time. It was great. Best holiday I've ever had we stayed at Dusit in Makati and Fridays in Boracay. I loved everything about it. The food was wonderful, the beer (san mig light) was great, especially as it was only about 95pence per bottle, much cheaper that a pint in my local here in UK!
And all the people we met in the Philippines were so friendly, helpful and polite. Wonderful. Can't wait to go back again next year.

There are precribed medications for this condition of yours, one of them being square garlic suppositories.....

Hey Garfiels. I love the Dusit too; stayed their twice I believe. Great breakfasts. I had some great Singapore Slings at Fridays in Borocay. They had this amazing 2 for 1 offer. Oo la la !! You're not from Barking are you?
Be responsible with little so that you can be trusted with much!!

    Hi Garfield,
Welcome to the forum. You got well ripped off for your beer btw, It should have been more like 45 pence a bottle so it looks like you paid about 50% kano tax on top.

    Iain.

    thanks for the welcome everyone.
surprised to hear about the price of beer, mind you it could be to do with the places we were drinking? Gerrys Grill Makati, Dusit Hotel? Anyway I'll know next time. Mind you it was still well cheap compared to London beer prices.
And the hospitality was far more welcoming
Would be good to know of any good reasonable bars to visit in Makati for our next trip, if anyone has any suggestions? Went to Strumms in Jupiter Street, great bands

    Welcome to the forum Garfield
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.
