hi everyone,im in a dilema,my girlfriend in the philipines has sent me my sons philipino birth certificate for me to sign and send back, so he can get christened can anyone tell me what i need to do?eg do i need my doctor to witness me signing the certificate?please any advise would be grateful

sorry to trouble you all again,my girlfriend has just txted me,told me i only have to sign the certificate,and send her my community tax certificate individual. what is my community tax certificate? can anybody tell me? thankyou for your help

community tax certificate ( pinoy language - cedula) is usually secured from the locaility where you reside in phils. As for foreigners, they are not required to get their cedula coz they have the ACR, In case you are not in the Phils (if you are a puti) you cant have the CTC.. Your woman can simply say that you dont have CTC as you arent here. I hope those people at the Local Civil Registry will practical. Bert72, just insist on this..

Hi, if i remember it right .........

you need to sign 4 times at the back of the BC of your child about your acknowledgement of paternity saying that's your kid coz your not married yet to the child's mum.

you don't need to send your cedula as you don't have cedula in UK , i think its your passport details. plus She needs her cedula.

And you have to sign other papers not just the birth certificate of your child.

ask your GF about the other papers, the acknowledgement of paternity.

Coz same situation before lol i think we signed 3-4 copies of 2 sets of papers, plus the child's birth certificate 4 times at the back.

you'll notice after all that your signatures differs from the others too much signing
very tiring

good luck , lucky if they dont asked you for more coz some city halls asked for more especially if they found out that the dad is a foreigner

When I gave birth to my daughter my husband and I were not married that time. He has to be here in the Philippines to sign the birth certificate so my daughter can use his surname.And they will need a copy of your passport and need to notarized the Birth Certificate. I am not really sure about your situation. I hope the Municipal hall will not ask your girlfriend more documents.
