Clock ticking starts...submitted my fiancee visa application

We finally submitted our application yesterday the counting starts for us

(rant) My appointment time was 12:20 pm, guess what time they called my name it was 1.30pm there were several people ahead of me who were also not called on their right appointment timethe process was so slow and I had to wait for nearly two hours for my biometrics The worse thing was i missed my 2:50pm flight back to cagayan de oro The whole appointment thing was so useless My fiance was mad, he said i should have complain and let them pay for my flight

I hope it wont take long until we get the result (positive) It will be our turn soon I checked my visa status lol too soon it said documents forwarded to british high comission

If you'd checked the forum you'd have known you could have been there till closing time, and i've never known anyone in the Philippines stick to an appoinment time .... so don't expect the British to do it.....tea breaks...etc...!

Goodluck Sunshine, just be patient and all will be ok
It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good to check up once in a while to make sure you haven't lost the things that money can't buy.

I think it's the peak season again? It was that bad too last year when i applied for Visit Visa. But last March 9 when i applied again...it was a swift. Was in & out in less than 30 mins. Appointment was 11am...got there10 mins to 11...was called exactly 11am. I was at the table for 5 mins only then waited 10mins for Biometrics.

    Anyway...Goodluck with your application

Hi sunshine... question: how did you organize your docs? you placed everything in 2 separate envelopes (original and photocopy) or used a folder? started printing just our chat logs and it is super thick!

Although you present your documents, originals and copies in a neatly organised folder, VFS will use their own systems to submit the evidence.

Dont place any reliance or expectation on the online tracking: the only messages you will see are the one about the application being submitted to the British embassy and then an update to say documents have been returned and are available for collection. That then means an anxious overnight wait until you can collect and (hopefully) view the passport with the all important visa

Hello Florge, the VFS staff uses brown long envelop. This is what I did.One envelop for original including pictures, cards and letters, & one for photo copies.Chatlogs and emails for another envelop,i told the staff that i just want my all original documents back. So, it was 3 envelops all in all.Hope it helps.

Hi Florge i used two separate brown envelopes, for originals and copies. Do not print too much chat logs they will not accept too much documents. What i did with mine was i printed the chat history and screen print of skype chats showing the dates only. No need to print the entire chat transcripts, they're only after of the evidence of communication

Hi florge You only need 1 envelope for everything. When i lodged my documents before, i used 2 envelopes - 1st one for original and main docs and the other for supporting docs such as chat prints, pictures, cards, etc. But they gave me back the other envelope and asked me to place it all together in one envelope and arranged in order.

I bought nice envelopes too but given back to me . Regarding the chatlogs and emails, just print few days everyweek. Mine was very thick (It was my 3rd envelope that submitted to them.) and got 4 inches thick of it here in the house

i understand your situation now...sames like me, before i submitted my application last april 23'09...and i am very thankful that there are lots of the members understand me,,and they are aways there to "ANSWER" ,because i have so many questions always...hahahha.....and it helps me a lot...coz when i went to the vfs office....i'm relax...and ready...anyway people inside the vfs are very nice,,,,as long as you are also friendly.....
and about my documents, i also bought 3expensive envelops,,,hahaha,,,but when i went to the vfs, they ask me only the papers,,,no more envelop...coz they have a folder, which has a clip on the header...and they put my papers there (in order...like what in the checklist)......
help us praying for our visa to arrived soon....

Yup! ... that just about describes Britain's "civil" servants to a 'T'[ea] ... and, if you care to delve into the history of the UK, the colours - RED, BLUE and WHITE - symbolising the Union were aptly chosen back in 1707, given the state of the nation three centuries later ...
