regarding the 3 month target, girl said they are doing their best to meet that. while there are additional applicants coming from korea, japan, hong kong, etc, priority are filipino applications. :-) hope this gives a little encouragement to those who've been waiting for long weeks now! :-) my sister and her hubby were happy to know this at the very least.

Thank you much for sharing to us! This is ver helpful It cleared up my mind am a bit happy now It will be soon fingers cross

How are you guys ? No visa granted this week , and was just thought its really 4 months now the way I understand things, when some one applied for June 01 then it could be till Sept to wait been visiting this thread just in case, some one got a visa, but my hubby said the delay might because peak season in the UK (summer) I just said to him, it does make any difference ? as so many applicants coming in the month of March and April month, well let see

    Hello all,
I phoned the embassy again today, about my wifes settlement visa applied for on the 16th April this year.
Guess whay date they said they were now on, yes 26th March.
I then said I phoned 3 weeks ago and you were on that date, she asked me to hold then came back and said they do not know what the delay is but advised me to email them as well.
Which I also did 2 weeks ago and was told "in progress"

I will email again, but just do not know what we can do next?
    Mick.

This is not good news. I cant imagine how all the April applicants are feeling. We applied in July and telling my husband this news is destroying his faith in coming here. Its making us argue over stupid things and is really frustrating. I wish someone would be granted just so we can see something is happening!

    Hi all,
As I said they told me they were on the 26 March both 3 weeks ago and now, so it seems as they are also processing visa's for other countries, they must be leaving all or most of the PH ones to do others.
Our question is can we do anything or can we only wait?
    Mick.

    G'morning bunch...
Just been checking my e-mail and finally I've got a reply to my query about our fiancee visa processing status.
    Here is their reply:

Your email has reached the Visa Enquiries Team at the UKBA Regional Visa Section for the Philippines, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

We are sorry to advise you that we are currently dealing with a high number of settlement applications at present. To be fair and consistent to all applicants, we are dealing with them all in strict chronological order. At the moment, we are dealing with applications received on 07 April.

    Yours sincerely

    Correspondence Team
    Visa Services
    UKBA International Group
    British Embassy Manila

Looks like there is a bit of good news for us then
On the other hand I find it a bit confusing as it seems that we are getting various informations from them - see Mickcant posts for example

    Hi Ji&Ma,
Yes they said the 26th March when I phoned this week and when I said that was what they said 3 weeks ago advised me to email, they replied this morning with the same date of 7th April, as they told you.

We may hopefully have some good news soon!

    Mick.

Just wondering because they are dealing with the April 7th applicants now, why Empott has not heard anything yet. I believe they applied 31st March. Someone in this forum said they are still waiting up to now

I wasn't surprised that they will take this long coz of the student visa applicants that i saw last March 27 in VFS. I was in VFS at 3am and i was 139th on the list. And the number multiplied at 6am.

I'm still in touch with the other settlement applicants that I met last March 27 and the 31st, and none of them has their visa yet. I'm still patiently waiting but I admit that I am disappointed.

I phoned them earlier today and they said they are still processing the 1st week of April. They said that my application reached them on April 1, so I am in that batch and hopefully it will be released this week or next week. They also said that local background checking takes time.

Good luck to you all guys whose waiting for visas, just keep yourself busy so you wont get bored waiting.
I have a friend whose also waiting for his Fiancee from the Philippines and he phoned the Embassy yesterday, he was told that the ECOs are working for April 7 applications. To think that there were 3 days bank holiday last April so it was not very busy as month March therefore the application submitted is not as bulky as month March.

I have just looked at the holiday list. Embassy holidays for April are 9, 10 & 13.

That should help reduce our waiting
