So - our 12-th week of waiting beginning just now (10:00 Manila time, 09.06.)...
How we wish it is our last and the long wait is finally over....
HEADS UP for all those waiting and keep faith!

You're a week ahead of me Ji&Ma....It's my birthday next week & i'd be at my happiest if this visa is granted. Let's all hope for the best.

Hi guys, hows everything ? still no news to any one whos in the nearly 13 weeks or should I say more I am waiting for my Jed visa as well, lucky I got something to do to occupy my time while waiting or else I really go back home and wait Jed's visa in PI

No one knows, applicants as per review how they get thier visa, there is 11 weeks, 12 weeks, 13 weeks and so... the only member I remember who got thier visa so quick in this kind of time is Mike (aposhark) in 4 weeks time, so far no one bet it yet. and the longest running ever is Deltonmay 7 months (hope you dont mind me mentioning you mare, I keep thinking of you)

yes,,,,i think Aposhark is very lucky from courting up to getting married,,,now Rochelyn already pregnant while others still leaving behind PI waiting ages of their VISA,,but dont worry guys next luck are YOURSSSSSSSSSSSS mwaaahhhhhhhhhhh

anyone experienced arriving GATWICK AIRPORT

Sorry, a bit late with reply.

Lady BBJ arrived into Gatwick in late April.
No delays (perhaps because one of the earliest flights in).
Pleasant older immigration woman briefly asked her a few questions.
(my full name, my address, how long are you staying, is he outside
waiting for you)
Not asked for, or about X-Ray

About 35-40mins all told from aircraft landing to the arrivals door.

It says:The embassy is re-structuring its visa section and hiring additional staff to accommodate the expected increase in the volume of work.

Makes us wonder if they did get enough extra staff?

i think the re-structure is driven by the recession... they are probably downsizing -- hence the move to have everything processed here in the philippines (as the regional hub). :-O very unfortunate for all of us... :-(

hopefully when the april visas start coming in, we will all be happy... :-) i am also applying for a visit visa this week so my sister and i can go together hopefully by next month. :-)

they are probably just claiming to "increase staffing" to manage possible complaints re: application backlogs. let's just expect the worst but hope for the best. :-)

I have just checked my online application status before i logged in here in the forum.
And it says there: "YOUR APPLICATION IS READY FOR COLLECTION; PLEASE VISIT THE UK VISA APPLICATION CENTRE TO COLLECT THE SAME..."

Im a bit confused. What does that mean? is my application refused or approved?
It seemed different from what I have read from other's which says "processed passport ready for collection"
Anyway, whatever the outcome of it, i will keep you guys posted
It's too late to go there at this time it's 5:30 Pm here in Manila. I will go to UKVAC tomorrow.
Wish me all the luck and please pray for me. I REALLY CANNOT WAIT TO BE WITH THE MAN I LOVE MOST.

you'll find out when you collect it.. but quite pretty sure it's approved.
after you've waited for a long time i don't think they will refuse it...

Please let us know if the online tracking works for you, ours comes up "invalid search" I asked about it when I phoned them last week, but they just confirmed our applacation was in the system.

same thing happened to me .. i was on the official website and it kept coming back with invalid search i asked wifey and she said it worked her end so i got her to send me the link ... its virtually the same website but a PI version http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/

ps. mine says " Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission"

....how i wish they are telling there that my passport is ready to get...
