    [QUOTE=Ann07;133894]HI John

    When i applied my flr 2007 same year as tin i ammended my passport and report my marriage in the PHIL embassy by post. I am holding a green passport. I use mrs in the flr form when i applied.

    But....

    I have a friend who applied recently and got her id card back. She did not ammend her passport because its different now her passport ( the brown) , she has to go to the PHil embassy i think to have it ammended, she just report the marriage then. In the form she mistakenly put miss instead of mrs so when she gets back her id its miss instead of mrs Where she should put mrs in the first place.

    Hi Ann,

    Just to clarify, have you got your passport ammended before applying flr or after ? thanks..

    yes, i have a friend who applied recently and didnt ammend her passport but use her maiden name in the flr application form. Well, you have you MC to prove you are married already

    But as you can see on my previous post, i have shared about one of my friend haven't got her passport ammended but when she gets her flr visa, still her maiden name on it, the lady from HO advice them to get her passport ammended before applying ilr so she can use her married name on it.... she applied 2007 same as Tin..

    Maybe they have changed the rule now..

    Yes rules changed on Nov 25th 2008. The government are stealthily bringing in ID cards for everyone. On Nov 25th they started on those who wanted to extend their fiancee visas into spouse visas.

    It seems as well as Passports being stamped with spouse visas they are now issuing ID cards also. The issue for discussion is will ID cards match the visa details and will the visa details match the name on the data page of passport?

    My spouse and I have decided to ask Philippine Embassy to amend the amendment page of her green passport to show her married name

    On the FLR(M) form we will put Mrs followed by married name and then write "see amendment page of passport" next to it. We will also write a covering letter explaining it all. We will be visiting Home Office so hopefully the Home Office will let us explain it also. If it is a problem hopefully they will advise us and correct the form themselves if we are wrong.

    For those of you who believe in the power of prayer, please pray for us on 15th May. Thanks
    As the days of Noah were so shall be the coming of the Son of Man........ When You see these things happening, know that the time is close.
