Ah well, it seems that it was Pilot error as I must have pressed the wrong button or something.
Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for giving me lots of places to look at which are cooler and not so crowded as Manila, so now I can spend some time looking at all the suggestions.
My ideal place would be a beach next to a mountain, so that we can get the best of both world's.
At our late stage in life, it's a bit late to spend all the money on buying, so renting long term would be a better idea.

yes, Davao is nice safe and clean but anyway we have lots of places here,Luzon, Visayas, or Mindanao...
we visit camiguin and it is really nice to stay beaches, mountains and near to go for hot springs…cagayan de oro is good but you find usually good home to stay top to the mountains where its an over looking to the city but still near to the ocean …well, it is better you look on it by visiting any places then you can decide both where your ideal place is, which is safe and comfortable to stay … good luck and enjoy staying soon from Philippines
