have you taken the card out of the reader and gave it a quick clean? sometimes that does the trick, sky cards are paired to the reciever in most cases, maybe they have issued new cards now to there customers and it may be the case that all old cards have been deactivated?
you could try buying a second hand box from ebay and maybe they have left there card in the slot,and still pick up the free channels,other than that cant you subsribe to the basic package recieve a new card from sky then cancel the package oopppssss maybe not
