You haven't mentioned whether you're living in the Phils or the UK. Certainly in the Philippines, it seems to be fairly common practice among some of the wealthier families to hire one or more housemaids - the number employed usually being dependent on the size and level of household affluence - to care for their young children and attend to other domestic chores. Hence, Filipinas are accustomed to and thus highly regarded in this line of work.
you approach your nearest Jobcentre [if in the UK] or an appropriate agency - either of whom should be able to point you in the right direction.
