13.3 - Definition of sponsor in fiancé(e)/proposed civil partner/spouse/unmarried and same-sex partner applications
In a fiancé(e)/proposed civil partner application, the term ‘sponsor’ refers to the person whom the applicant is intending to marry/enter into a civil partnership with.
In an application as a spouse/civil partner, the sponsor is the person to whom the applicant is married/in a civil partnership with. In applications from unmarried or same-sex partners, the sponsor is the person with whom the applicant is in a relationship with and intends to continue living.

In my case, dependant is my son, and the sponsor is my english husband, I guess esther explain it better than me
So what do you mean![]()
in my case, i have a sponsor in the UK and my sponsor has a dependant her family. is it fine that im his sponsor? it wont affect my application?
And your question now is....Is it fine I am his sponsor??you mean, you will sponsor him ? but in the first sentence I have sponsor in the UK
Wahh, mapupunta ko ng Mandaluyong (sa loob nito)
Like JIMA said, sponsor can be from the UK, what visa your applying for.....?
im applying for a student visa.my friend got denied coz her sponsor had sponsored someone before. i have a auntie, she is my sponsor. my auntie has a family. dependant nya daw yon. so magkaiba ba yon? bka ksi ma deny rin ako gaya ng friend ko kaya ako nagtatanong.
Ahhh, Ok make sure that you really registered to the school you plan to go with, and make sure your auntie is earning high salary to prove she can support you all the way, going to school here is really expensive, and I keep watching UK Border Force I can see how they hold in the immigration all the student visa, first thing they call the school if you really registered to that school and second make sure your auntie has sufficient savings account to support you, its not that easy, as long as she prove to ECO she can support you
... Right? ... so, put simply, YOU are the DEPENDANT, and your AUNT [living in the UK, as I understand it] has agreed to be your SPONSOR. No problem, so long as she can satisfy the Entry Clearance Officials that her financial capacity is sufficiently adequate to support you - and is also enough to cover the cost of your tuition fees - throughout the entire duration of your stay. Best wishes once again.![]()
Scotland, eh? That's interesting. My wife has a niece who also happens to be a registered nurse. She now lives - and works - in Hartlepool which, although it's actually in the North East of England, is actually less than 200 miles from where WE stay. She's been here since October 2004, and was joined by her husband and four children in May last year.
Hartlepool arthur?Thats interesting,I used to go there with my dad when I was a kid to watch the seals at the aptly named "Seal Sands" next to the ICI chemical plant,he bought me a pair of decent binoculars, happy memories,I always liked hartlepool![]()
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
Yes, of course, you WOULD do, as it's not so very far from "Geordie Land". MY first - and only - acquaintance with the town was in early March, when we stayed for a few days with Myrna's niece following her [Myrna's] arrival at Manchester Airport. I seem to remember it was freezing coldand "blowing a gale" at that time of year, so, sadly, we missed out on watching the seals. Another time, though ... !
Mind you - you are not SPONSOR - your aunties and your dad are YOUR sponsors...Yes, your aunties family DEPENDS on her but in the view of ECO you are DEPENDANT and your auntie is your SPONSOR.
Anyway - if you have three sponsors it should work OK for you, good luck![]()
