    Flight after Visa

I was thinking of booking a flight in advance before getting visa. I'm thinking middle of September and using airmiles for one way ticket to heathrow. We applied for spouse visa 3 weeks ago so it is a gamble.

The flight is waitlisted and can be cancelled. My query is there any restrictions on the visa i.e. need to be in the UK within 60 days after issue .. etc. Thanks for everyone's help.

You can delay your journey for as long as you like. The only thing to bear in mind is that if you haven't spent over 23 months in the Uk before your spouse visa expires you won't be able to apply for ILR, and instead will have to apply for FLR first and then ILR at a later point (more money).

Assumng they grant you a 27 monh visa you won't have this problem unless you delay your journey for more than 4 months.

Thanks for the quick replies. I just want to have some kind of booking in case prices rise or planes get full.

Just have to wait ... not so much fun
