Schengen visa for family member to visit Spain

I have a Fillipina friend who has Spanish Residencia. She lives in Spain and be getting married later this year in Spain.

Does anyone have recent experience of getting a visa for family members to go/come to Spain on holiday?

I told my friend that I would find out for her. I too checked the internet but as we have so many guys here who between them normally know the answer to everything I was confident would get the info for her. Maybe I will still be lucky.

best to phone the information hotline at the Spanish Consulate in Manila ... I recorded the message so didn't have to spend a fortune to keep listening to it ... Good luck

Beppe, thanks for that but the sites don't contain any info on what is needed and of course 'recent experience' would be valuable.
