we just have our lawn laid last may we were instructed NOT to feed it for a YEAR, NOT WALK OVER IT FOR A MINIMUM OF 4 WEEKS AND ALSO NOT TO PUT GRASS/LAWN SEED, and they said to always water it. So far (touch wood) it's still green.
