I spent three years in Hong Kong eating every Friday at Curry Pot in Wan Chai. When I can't go, I normally phone for home delivery and the moment I say hello, they already know it's me. I've never been to India myself, so I don't really know how a real Indian curry tastes like. I would like to believe that all the restaurants I've tried are just making the taste more commercialised. There's one in Sevenoaks that I super love though. Tastes quite similar to that of Curry Pot in HK.

I spent four and a half years in Hong Kong, and know Wanchai very well

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Oh well I'm sure you do...most guys (if not all) who lived in HK knows Wan Chai! No need for a special Barrio Fiesta...it's Fiesta every night!

    Happy times indeed!

Me, Happy Valley. Stanley...I felt sick going there once. Road twisted to the max. The market is really good though -- sulit ang shopping!

Happy Terrace, as in Happy View Terrace? That's where I used to be. Quite near to the race course and the football club.

Stanley now (or when I was still there) has got a few thai cuttleries...a lot cheaper than buying them from bazaar traders. Kids clothing are also really good -- can get a few better stuff those at alleys in central.

Lucky you! Last time I visited was 4 years ago (just after we left to live in Singapore) only to watch Rugby Sevens.

I like Lantau Island...too much walking though! Seafoods! Seafoods!

Is it true Mickey Mouse is speaking in Chinese accent?

    Back on topic.......................

A warning re parking. Be wary of the multi storey serving the Council HQ next to the park. I guess during the week it is for employees only but previously the council subbed it out to private enterprise and it cost ££££'s

Theres an advert for the fiesta in the local paper today about the Fiesta,be there or be square, apparently Mrs M is borrowing a pair of circus elephants and will tightrope hop on one leg between the pair while cooking a wok of pancit and reciting shakespeare

WOW,read the advert "Free entrance" thats generous of them, free to enter a british park the upkeep of which is paid for with our taxes I asked someone about the independence day celebrations at Lambton Park last month? The people who organised that event didnt actually try to charge an entrance, they were simply asking for "Donation" to enter Anyone going?
