Regarding the Insurance
Thats what many people with their children or new drivers do but just be aware i belive that can void the insurance.
Ie saying in the Hubby or parents name but really the first driver is a newly qualfied person.
They may never found out but if the insurance company find out you use that car everyday taking it to work or college etc.
Its just the usual heads up and thousands of couples and families im sure do it and never have any problems.
Oh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops
Lets not jump the gun. I`ve found another insurance company and transferred it as from midnight tonight. No problem just a shock that Tescos insurance wouldnt cover Chryss. Maybe they`ve seen her drive
Anyway, me mam works for NFU insurance and they covered us both for an increase of just £60 for the year. Also the excess is less too.

Thanks for your advices Anne & Ann! Very helpful. I wish to drive soon too as I'm longing for independence too lol... I love driving in the PI (oh yes!) but hehe, I'm a bit worry to drive here as there are so many laws and restrictions hahaha and you can't pay the police. lol
Would love to buy another car...
Oh my momma, that was miracle! (and good thing she's short too , saved her life) Yep, never ever answer calls & send text messages! Lots of road accidents involve mobile phones
Lol, that's not an option
We're in a similar position. My wife just received her provisional licence but I've got a company car and she's not allowed to drive it as a learner. She'll be OK once she's passed her though.
She'll need her own car but getting insurance could be expensive. I've always had a company car, so haven't built up any no claims bonus in my own name. As a new driver, her premium is likely to be high.
We'll probably get a small, cheap car and insure it third party only. Hopefully, after a year or so, the insurance companies will look at our situation and give us a good deal!
As far as being a sporty car goes, its only a Mondeo ST TDCI !
Just called Tescos insurance and it turns out that cos they refused to cover Chryss on my policy they have to waive the cancellation charge which was 1 months premium + £10
And I also get £8 refund from my last payment, so its not all bad.
When I first arranged the insurance for my wife's car a couple a years back I didn't find much difference in the prices between third party and full comp. I did though find a massive difference in prices between different companies. Some insurance companies were quoting over £1000 and others wouldn't even insure her because of the type of car (it was deemed too 'boy/girl racerish') though in the end I only paid ~£350.
nice to know that they were both fine.
i'm not a speedy driver. and i always forget my cellphone at home everytime we go out. though hubby reminds me to take my cellphone always.
thanks for that info .. i will never answer my cp when driving specially when our 2 kids are with me. i can't risk their lives just for a phone call
Hmmm, may provi license lang, snob na ang off line ko, nice ah,
Anyway, dito nlg kita batiin sa thread na ito, Happy Wedding Anniversary
" The people who mean something to your life are not rated "the best" don't have the most money, haven't won the greatest prizes....
They are the ones who care about you, take care of you, those who, no matter what, stay close by... "
Thanks Ji!
kaw talaga! lolz
c hubby kc madalas may gamit ng pc eh.. thanks ate juliet!
muahugz!
Thanks sis!
I guess he loves me more than his car, hahaha!
Well, I started my first lesson with him last night
Though he was calm.. I was really nervous knowing he's the one teaching me. Now I can relate with other wives when they complained about their hubby's teaching them how to drive. The more you want not to have mistakes the more you'll have it
I already know how to drive back in the PI. And yesterday we nearly had an accident It was my fault, I was really nervous and didn't concentrate much
You'll find you are not allowed to drive any insurance high class vehicles such as 4x4's, sports cars, etc. Obvious reason for this, and the main reason you only see driving instructors using cheap small cars.
You can however drive it on private land. So we'll expect to see you driving up & down on runway R24 at Heathrow
