Costs for college courses in Philippines

Can anyone help me here please.

My fiancee is looking to go back to college (1st year) while we're waiting for visa approval to come through. We know its only going to be for 1 semester, but I still think its worthwhile as she hasnt been studying for some time and it woud be good to get back into practice. She's planning on doing more studying for qualifications when she gets to the UK.

How much is this likely to cost. My understanding is that the actual schoolingfees can be paid in installments, so 1 semester shouldnt be a problem, but that books, exams, assignments etc will be extra on top of the intial fees.

Anyone have any ideas what we might be letting ourselves in for?

When I was on college before it was about more or less about 20,000 for the whole year or per semester can`t remember now to be honest but it depends on what course she`ll be taking up I guess...

Thanks MrsD. Quite a big difference between 20000 for the year or for the semester tho. Does that include books and exams do you recall?

actually that was my idea while i was waiting for my visa.but when i realized that i will just study the basics and i wont be able to finish the school year and the practicum is at the 4th year of studying the course, i backed out. my hubby and i thought that i will waste my time and money and at the end it wont be credited in UK. So we decided to get qualifications in UK.

So we decided to get qualifications in UK.

We thought the same, but having not studied for so long, if its not too costly it would be worthwhile to get back in the habit. When I got back to studying after 15 years out, the hardset bit wasn't the learning, it was the discipline required to get all the work done.
