I can cope with M U losing out to the scouse scallies or the Chelsea's cheapskates..... BUT if Alex gets it wrong ( and "buying" (EDIT I should have phrased that better and said "wasting his wage bill") an injury prone reject lemon like Owen - who did nothing for Newcastle - makes me doubt is sanity )
M. U. fans and supporters will know what pergatory is like.
I am old enough to remember Dennis Law being dumped "past it" crossed th e road and became legend at another Manchester club and introduced M.U> to the then second division.
It may well be so, the lure of money is always there, but I am not too sure that he would leave assured European play, and possible success, for the unknown entity that Man City is.
I would not bet on it, but I am certain that Terry will end his career at Chelsea.
I can see only two contenders for the Premiership in the new season, Liverpool and Chelsea.
And it will be decided at the last two games.
Folk keep forgetting about Everton, they'll start the season with a fully fit squad.
