how many days you have exactly waited to get a result from your application?
well first of all it depends of what kind of visa u gonna apply.....as what i read in there site it takes 3 months for the settlement...but some poeple who's got a succesfull visa it takes a month or some is 2 weeks only ....i think it depends of the staff if they are not very busy or lots of things in their hands
How long does it take to get a UK visa?We aim to operate a fast and effective entry clearance service. In 2003, 90% of straightforward, non-settlement applications were resolved within 24 hours, with most applicants receiving a same day service. If an in-depth interview is required, we aim to process non-settlement applications within 10 working days, but please be aware that during peak periods, it can take longer.
If you are applying to settle in the UK, in most cases we are able to process your application within 13 weeks, however this may vary depending on where you are applying.
I would second Chrisirene post the time taken will always vary as staff change, holidays and the amount of others applying.
The rules change in refrence to visa applications, so often im sure even the ECO's take time to work out the latest version.
ya...so its much better for those who want to apply or havent submitted the application yet, better do it before christmas holidays bec may mean more delays.

Goodluck on your application eljean.
With my application last Feb, all the original docu was returned to me after six days. With it was a letter stating I should come for an interview a week later. They also told me to bring other documents with me. Interview was 8am at the embassy (they actually started calling people in the booths around 9am). After the interview, they told me to come back in the afternoon. My passport was returned to me in the afternoon with the visa on it.
Don't worry too much.
Cheers!

thanks for those who wishes me luck and as well i wish all of us the best and the success in applying ...im really looking forward to that three result...lol
a granted visa...without the interview....a notice of interview still not sure if granted or refuse.....or the scariest one the refusal....im pretty much nervous everytime i talked about it
anyway guys.....ill soon post the result in here sooner or later....
dont wait 3 months like me, if you dont get a reply in 3 or 4 wks, email everyone on the british embassy website like i did, after 3 months of run-a-round !, funny the same day of complaining to every manager there, my wife got a call to pick her passport up.,.. hmm. maybe someone stopped using my appilcation as a fly swat..
good luck.. and dont wait forever for a reply ..
:
wow....but from those people here in the furom some of them just got the result for about a month and some just in 15 days....i guess tracking your application everyday will help to know your status and also to keep calling the ukvacs for its progress anyways i can wait for 3 months as long as it is granted.....lol
hi eljean,
my fiancee was told it could take upto 3 months for her visa for settlement, and it pretty much was that give or take a day.i'm sure u will be fine and try not to worry
My girls visa arrived today, it was 1 week since we applied and it was for a fiancee visa.
Keep tracking and after 15 days you can call the ukvacs what's the latest of your documents.
