hi bhabes79 i think i will be better if u communicate with the Home Office with regards to ur query.. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/

I think if you can prove to the Home Office that you're married and been living together with your British spouse for 5 years (i think) even you're outside the UK, you'll be alright... but don't quote me on this.. As what Kimmi said, it's better to check on the Home Office website or contact them through email or phone.

    Goodluck!

I've not seen anywhere about changing it from 2yrs to 6 months, i doubt it would change to 6 months.

at present you cannot spend more than 2yrs outside the UK if you have ILR or you will lose it, and have to start again , ILR is not some form of visit visa, the UK is suppose to be your home.

if you intend to stay out of the uk for long periods, you'll need to apply for citizenship
