Problem i have noticed is that the unions where people often strikes have been in areas where there is a monopoly so can get away with striking as no sensible alternative with the post there are now for many big companies and even people in the larger towns and cities.
Each strike i have noticed companies find alternatives which they often tend to keep on using once normal service resumes.
Also for the larger companies middle management and what not step in to ensure that they hardly noticed the one day strikes.
Only people who will lose out it looks like are the post office staff and people in more remote areas who will get a poorer possibly more expensive service![]()
