I don't have any experience of the life in the UK exam, but for instance tobacco, which you mention, if you put that it was 16 but the new law says it is 18, then that is going to work well in your favour.

My understanding is that you should make sure you've got the latest edition of the book and learn the contents of it. They won't though ask questions where the book is incorrect - for example where the law has changed, the miniumum wage has gone up, etc.

I understand that, but maybe thought that it showed a knowledge, of how things have changed.

As I said, I have no personal experience of it, so maybe someone who has been through it, would be better to comment.

with the *point you're making here, Simon ... I think *it shows INITIATIVE ... which is all to the good! Like you, I have hitherto had no personal involvement with the 'Life In The UK' Test, although Myrna will need to take it eventually.

What will I be tested on?
The test is computer-based and is a series of 24 questions. It is based on 'Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship'.

It is important that you read the second edition of 'Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship'. This is the only official handbook for the Life in the UK test.

i think its unrealistic that you should know of all or any changes to laws or data that have changed since the book was written
