If I may add something funny I remember about halo-halo, I often teach my boyfriend about Philippine history and do pop quizzes. One time, I asked him, who is the Philippines' National Hero? He proudly answered "Razon". Razon's is another place where they serve the best halo-halo. He liked halo-halo so much that he said Razon instead of Rizal. :-s
