    visa approved!

Guys, I had my visa application approved!
I apologize for not posting it sooner but I was waiting for the 2 spouses I met in VFS to get their visa as well. I didn't feel right rejoicing while they were still waiting.
My visa finally got approved after 4 months, well, minus the 6 days holidays the UKBA had after I lodged my application. Waiting was so hard. The last 2 months was a pure torture. If only I had read that they will be changing immigration law for student visa the week I lodged mine, I could have submitted 5 days ahead! It would have saved me from torture and anguish. (Reading, research and timing are really the key!) Oh well, I have my visa now and that doesn't matter anymore.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the following people:
To Boss Keith and Ate Ping, thank you so much for this wonderful site. It certainly help people like me.
To Mod Joe, thank u for your wisdom and answering all my questions and erasing my doubts. I know I can be annoying at times for asking again and again, but thanks for your patience.
Thank you everyone (especially my good friends here) for all your friendly advice, help and comforting words.
I know it sounds like a speech, but I wanna give credit to all of you.

I hope that the people still waiting and the people that apply in the future will be as fortunate as I have been. Not like the 2 spouses I met in VFS who got refusal.

    God bless everyone.

    Hi Mrs Hope,
Welcome to the forum. Sounds like like you've included everthing but the kitchen sink with your visa application, I don't think you'll have any trouble getting your visa. A spouse visa is very different from a tourist visa and very much higher percentage of tourist visas are denied.

Understandable ... and very tactful in the circumstances!

Sad indeed ... and most unusual with spousal applications! I wonder WHY the two ladies were turned-down ... perhaps lack of supporting evidence?

Thanks Ji, indeed I'm very happy. All the worries have ended. And that means I'll be with hubby soon.
Congratulations to you and Maricel too.

It's not clear to me too coz I didn't read the refusal letter. But 1 spouse has the same situation as Mrs Hope. They've been together for 10 years or so, have a house in England and here in the Phils, have large sum of money in the bank, have kids and she has multiple visit visa and been to UK several times and NOT overstayed at all. But according to her, her refusal letter said she is still lacking of documents.

About the other spouse applicant, out of respect, it's better if we wait for the husband to tell their story here. He became a member 2 weeks ago.

It seems longer than 2 1/2 years! But I'm here now at the end of the tunnel. Thanks, Mod. I know I'll have a great life there coz I'll be with my hubby. But I'm scared and too. It'll be my first time to be away from my family.

Arthur Little, you quoted and agreed on everything I said, can I have a green blob (REP) for it pls?

I hope your not going to be disappointed when you get to Wales, has no one told you that the only other people there are Keith, Ping, Dom and Jet, after that it's just sheep as far as the eye can see. If you stay there too long you can come down with condition that is very similar to snow-blindness.

2 1/2 years Glad you got it in the end though

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
