I did say Liverpool wouldn't win on Saturday.

Pre-season was crap, but as usual Benitez knows best, even though everyone else can see he doesn't. The way he screwed up with Alonso has unsettled the team.

Spurs are a bit of a bogey team for the top teams, and will be even more so this season under Harry from the start.

I think that battering will help us.
Sigma (Europa Cup) then Burnley then Sigma again should be OK.

Arsenal were just too good and Everton were OK until their second goal went in.
Arsenal can make fools of other teams on their day.

The problem with Liverpool and Everton is they have both been screwed up by player cock-ups in the transfer window. Now although they get paid a lot and you think they'd simply cope mentally, and they all have sports pychologists, what people tend to forget is the majority of footy players are thick.

They leave school at 16, and paid little interest in lessons as all they thought about was football. Look at Rooney, great footballer, but would struggle in an under 5's general knowledge quiz

IMO this is one of the reasons that so many people resent them getting £50,000 to £100,000 a week or whatever ridiculously high wages they get.
There is so much resentment all around the country but nothing seems to change.
