Thanks Miss Piggy ang Tawi2 for your responses. Yes i chose this kind of service so parcels (2 small ones) should be delivered straight to the house. I don't know why they opened them. The custom officials said they have assessed the items hence the charges.

Customs charges is understandable...as long as there's a receipt against your payments.
