LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
I have friends who run a business in Makati occasionally they have to send electronic equipment between the UK and the Phils they told me that in their view everything gets opened, anything of value won't make it through the normal postal system. :(
They use courier companies but of course for small items of medium to low value it's not economic to do this.
General advice would be don't try to send anything by Royal Mail, you can trust Royal Mail at this end but you can't trust the other end sadly :(
Better to send the cash if you can.

yea its annoying to send in post office sometime?because i send also
for my son's birthday candle and that is 1 1/2 month ago until now still not recieve yet
We are hoping to include a mobile phone in a Balakbayan box. Unfortunately the old phone we were hoping to send will not hold a charge any more.
If we buy a new Nokia phone here will it work with a charger from the Philipinnes?
Thanks for any help

It might be just the battery, if so shouldn't be that much to buy a new one either from here (ebay?) or in the Philippines.
Yes a charger from the Philippines will work fine - just bear in mind there are two types of connections for Nokia phones (the original type, and the new smaller type).
Thanks for that. We got a new battery for the old phone but that has lost its charge within 24 hours so we are assuming it is a phone problem. Yes we have both types of Nokia connector available on chargers so will try to find a cheap phone to send.
Thanks again
Yes, I have. It took more than a month when I sent my second hand phone to Cebu.
The best thing not to do is write 'mobile phone' on the Customs declaration form, as you will lose it most probably.
I still insure the package tho!
All my items, I write 'childs toy, no commercial value', and guess what?? Everything gets there!!
Some things take longer than a month, and I do beleive that after some time, you can file a claim with royal mail anyway.
If Is only 1 month, be a little more patient.
The UK Phils shipping part generally takes a couple of days.
The delay, will mose certainly be in land Philippines
Hope this helps.
