There is NO confirmation from them - you are simply booked for certain time so it is enough to show some 15 minutes before the time given at !!! VFS !!! not the UK Embassy.
Embassy has nothing to do with visa application collection - it is done by VFS for them, Embassy (ECO there) just evaluates your application and then sends it back to VFS.
