There are some who thinks that they are better with everyone in the planet. But it is not only orientals in the UK you will see this mentality...every where in the world you'll find them.
There once was a girl that believed in mankind, that there was still honor and chivalry that existed in everyone of us. She also believed that everyone deserves a chance to prove oneself individually and hoped that the courtesy would be returned. That girl is dead now, and all that is left is her shadow. To give one a chance to prove thyself is a chance for you to become dwindled in the dissappointment.

My advice is simple ... but effective [I hope!] ... JUST BE YOURSELF, as Filipinos in general, are renowned the world over for their friendliness.

My Thai ex wife has a lot of flipino friends - plus a few koreans, some vietnamese, but no chinese friends. Both Thais and flipinos are friendly and don't seem to have a problem with each other!

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Why don't you talk about Jackie Chan movies. I am sure they will talk about that. Surely. You have to find a topic of conversation they will pick up on. Chinese people can be skittish about certain topics. I am not surprised considering how the Chinese police are. I recall a Scotsman who took his bagpipes to Beijing and they thought it was a bomb. But hey got to laugh.

I never understand why Asian people feel the need to be lumped together with japanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino. Seems a bit stereotypical things the Americans talk of with ignorance- "Ah slanty eye guys from the east who are small. They are all the same"

Celebrate the differences and talk about it. Nei sik msik gong ying man?

I always talked about the war when I was in Germany. They never said anything about it, they probably didn't want the score to be 3-0
