    Manager's check or cash payment???

Please help me guys. I am scheduled to go to the british embassy in manila on sept 8 to submit my documents personally. I was supposed to pay the visa fee at BDO today but i am confused whether its better to pay it in manager's check or just pay cash over the counter? And the problem is, BDO wont issue a manager's check because i dont have account in their bank. I am really worried because theres no bank on monday because its a nationwide holiday and my schedule is on tuesday already...What should i do?

To those who have been to british embassy in manila, did you pay it on manager's check? And if i already have the manager's check, shall i bring it to the embassy with me and present it to the entry clearance office? Please please i need advice....

    Thanks.

    hi filipina owl!

i believe the submission of documents is on the VFS office in AXA Building Makati not the British Embassy in Taguig.

BDO has mall branches which are open even on Saturdays and Sundays. You can still try and you can pay over the counter by cash. As for the manager's check, the bank you have account with issues this.

What's the holiday on Monday? I'm sorry I am not aware.

    Hope that helps.

Hi Filipina owl! You can pay at any BDO branches even you don't have account from them. I paid BDO over the counter, you just need to add 200 pesos for bank charges. and they also need a copy of your passport and copy of visa fee ( need to print this from VFS website as the bank ask for it). Good luck!

Yes, when you look at the VFS website it says : Cash over the counter
Obtain a fee receipt from any branch of Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of Philippine Islands, or Banco De Oro. Please carry a photocopy of your passport data page when you go to the bank to pay the visa fee. You can book an appointment online on the next working day from date of payment. There is a bank charge of PHP 200.00 for this payment option. Spouse visa fee is 47,970 pesos ( This is today's rate and it's subject to change )

    Documents submitted at vfs

Hi scottish bride, pumpkins, braveheart and the rest who replied to my thread. Thank you for all the helpful information. I was able to acquire a manager's check and I have succesfuly submitted my documents on Sept 8 '09 at the VFS makati and everything went okay. I was nervous at first but everything went smoothly and people at the VFS were nice. I had my biometrics scan and then it just took a few mins and then i was done.

Now is the agony of waiting for the result. Im really nervous as to what the outcome maybe. I really hope and pray that I will have the visa as soon as possible so i can fly to uk and be with my husband and before my tummy gets so big. I put in the application form that I am 3 months pregnant by the time of application, but it will be 4 months actually by the third week of this month, you think its okay? Im being paranoid now. please enlighten me...

I feel like staying a little bit more.. but then have to leave to plan for my wedding.. mixed emotions really.. before, I was like dying waiting for visa results.. and now that it's here.. it seems like I don't want to leave!!!LOL..

    Crazy me!

Goodluck on your application. I submitted mine, August 28 and just like you I am soo nervous. But hey, just don't think about it too much! My husband always tells me don't think negatively when I have the relevant documents and we have a 2 years old daughter who is also a British.
