Heskey has now officially inherited the Donkey title from Tony Adams.

Heskey was, as usual, BRILLIANT!!! - England should now easily repeat 1966 history and bring home the cup!!!

WARNING!! Parts, or all of this post may not necessarily be true. In fact - none of it is!!!

Did you watch a different game? He setup the first 2 goals

Croatia should have had a penalty when it was 2-0, may have been a different outcome if they'd scored, as England tend to bottle it.

Donkey comment partially rescinded I was in a meeting and didn't see the first two - he did miss a couple of sitters though

It is amazing how you lot rave on and on about the players and nobody mentions the eyetie that got them to perform on all 4 cilinders....

As far as I can recall, may be wrong at that, England never had such a clean run to qualification in history.....

The only time I suppose was in 1966 when they qualified because it was the host nation....

Fabio did great - but in saying that I think most would do better than that half witted muppet McClaren

Yep, most of the praise should go to Mr Capello. This is pretty much the same group of players that whimpered out against the same opposition 2 years ago. Now they're playing with belief and confidence, and that's got to be down to the boss.

I didn't see Capello score in any of the qualifiers!

They all played bad on purpose 2 years ago to get rid of McClown

Not forgetting the qualification bonus! As statistically we qualify for over 90% of tournaments regardless of manager, it makes you wonder who comes up with these figures for wages.

Look at Portugal & Argentina....may not even qualify
